Wrapping up the week:
I need to get out of my pjs and go to the gym. I am excited to wear my new pants, though. I wrote about them here.
Over the Christmas break, I am planning on running 10 miles a week. I started off really well on Sunday, but I haven't run since. So, once I am done with this I will head to the gym. It is still too cold to run outside.
I took all of my Christmas candy and dropped it off at the eye doctor when I went yesterday. My children bombarded me with candy, and I knew if I left it in the house, it would be bad news for me and hubs. So I got rid of all my yummy dark Chocolate. I ate enough on the ride home from Amarillo. Go me for finding some way around having actual self control.
We had a really great Christmas with hub's parents.
I finished my last stocking stuffer and will be posting about it soon.
My friend's bachelorette and our annual Panty Exchange is next week, and it has been super fun to text them and call them for small stuff. It is like we actually live close. We should do this all the time.
I saw someone a couple weeks ago who I really don't like. He had an affair and left his wife and daughter, even though the wife offered to try to work it out. What a toolbag! He was my brother's best friend, too. I told my brother about seeing him. My brother said that he just continues to pray that God will convict him of his sin. What a novel concept! All this time I was taking his sin as like a personal injustice to me, and I should be praying that he will be sensitive to the Lord's conviction of his sin. I have just started praying for him and my other friend like this. I am so thankful that the Lord used my brother's actions to convict my heart over this sin issue.
xoxo,
I'm so sorry about your fish but I'm glad you had a wonderful Christmas! As far as your brother's friend is concerned, I rather not comment! (I won't be nice!) But God surely sees everything...!
ReplyDeleteThank you! and yes, this man's sin will find him out.
DeleteOh my! Sorry about the fish! I found you from Let Them Eat Cake's blog hop and am your newest follower. Feel free to check out my blog and follow back :) Happy new year!

Thank you for stopping by! I am now following along!
DeleteBummer about the fish!! I lost a frog that way once. We had a friend cheat & leave his wife and less than a year old son recently (and his wife was willing to work it out too). So heartbreaking to see a marriage and family fail like that! I pray for the wife & son, I will have to make a point to pray for him too.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Years!!
Thank you for your prayers. It is just a difficult situation to respond Christlike to.
DeleteWait - you had a FISH jump out of it's bowl?
ReplyDeleteOkay, that's a new one. I've never had that happen and we've had fish for years. Even Beta fish. Beta fish are usually so darn still and...well, a bit boring, if you ask me. They can't swim around with friends because they fight, and they are usually kept in a very small glass or jar. They are pretty to look at, but just not the most exciting of pets! So to hear yours jumped out of it's bowl...
Are you sure someone just didn't fish it out and flush it? Perhaps it was "floating" at the top and someone in your family just wanted to spare you from finding it. Just a thought!
Anyway, I'm sorry for your....loss. It's truly a "loss" isn't it, since you can't even find it!

Well... the water was really high in the bowl, and the directions did caution about them jumping out. My hubs says he had nothing to do with it. I am just more baffled as to where it went. I guess we will find out when we move out of the apartment!
